Gulf Stream University was founded by husband & wife Junior and April Johnson. Living on the beautiful Crystal Coast, Junior found his calling on the water and began his fishing career in his late teens. Often asked by his charters where he went to school, a common reply became “GSU, Gulf Stream University”. So, he and his wife decided that would be great on a T-Shirt, and that is how the GSU brand was created.
For those who have built their life on the water and want to show their “School Pride” or for anyone who has spent time offshore learning anything about fishing, they too can consider themselves a graduate of GSU. And lastly for anyone who is just a fan of fishing life and coastal living.
